This month...

dan newbould.

I have been investing in property since 2008 and full time since 2010. I started by investing in typical 2 bed terraced housing in West Yorkshire when I lived in Leeds. I moved back to the East coast in 2011 and have been investing primarily in HMO’s in the Scarborough and Middlesbrough areas ever since. My HMO’s have a combination of student, professional and working tenants in them.

The core principal of my property business is to provide the highest standard of shared house accommodation in my area. I have extensive experience of renovations, especially updating residential and commercial property into HMO’s where I have added extra bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms.

I believe strongly in continuously educating myself within the property investing field. The market is constantly changing and it is vitally important to keep up with what is and what is not working.

Educating yourself is important but theory will only ever get you so far. I started massively increasing my investing success when I started proactively networking within my industry. The benefit of this is that the more people you have a relationship with in your industry means you have more experience and brain power to tap into when facing a new challenge.
